A case of the dropsies leads to interesting modification Have read a couple of the articles about how to better secure the CB-3000 for especially smaller sissies like myself. The first thing is that if you have not tried the Points of Intrigue, they are a must. Until i received mine, i was capable of "pulling out". With the POI installed, everything i had read about them is true. While it still may be possible, with some effort to pull out, the pain would be so unbearable that i have not even tried since first testing. But my story is really about the modification that have come about since getting my device. i ordered my first one on -line through e-bay. This was my first mistake as when it arrived it was broken. One of the guide pins had snapped off. But that did not stop me from putting it one to get used to it. Attempts at home repairs (super glue) proved futile and with only one pin in place, the strain on it caused it to break off as well. The person i had purchased it from was customer service oriented enough to send me a new one. This one arrived in tact and it was amazing the difference in the fit and feel with both pins in place. However, during routine weekly maintanence, the cage was dropped and again one of the pins broken in half and the other was damaged. Obvioiusly, i was very frustrated, especailly with the plastic pin, and since the second time was my fault i could not go back to the seller for a replacement. So i had to come up with a solution. And here it is for anyone interested. i took the cage and made sure to cut off any remaining part of the pin right down to the cage. The using an electric drill and a 3/8 drill bit and using the pin slot as a guide, i drilled out the remaining portion of the pin all the way through. my intent was to replace the plastic with metal but i was unable to find anything in the right size. What i came up with is bolts. i went to the hardware store and purchased 8-24 bolts with nuts. These were one and a half inches long. i can now feed the bolt through the back of the "A" ring forward into the cage and secure it in front of the cage with the bolt. The bolt is thin enough to go around the poi ring between the "A" ring and the cage. Using the bolts, i can tigthen them down so there is little or no play between the rings. By going in from the back i did not have to worry about cutting the bolt as you would with the guide pins. i have now completed by first entire month in chastity. Thank you for reading my story. |
